What is Core Transformer Core?

Core transformer is the core magnetic circuit component of power distribution transformer, power transformer and industrial transformer, which is made by stacking high grade oriented silicon steel sheets, and is the key carrier of transformer to realize electromagnetic energy conversion.

    Iron Core Structure Analysis

    Core transformer core adopts core column – iron yoke symmetrical closed magnetic circuit structure, is currently the most widely used form of iron core for power transformers, its structural composition and core design features are as follows:

    1. core column: the vertical part of the core, for the installation of the winding carrier, is the main magnetic induction magnetic channel, according to the number of phases of the transformer can be divided into single-phase single column, three-phase three columns, etc. Forms;
    2. yoke: iron core horizontal connection part, used to close the core column magnetic circuit, so that the magnetic flux to form a complete circuit, to ensure the efficient transmission of magnetic energy;
    3. Stacked silicon steel sheet: the core’s basic component unit, using cold rolled oriented silicon steel sheet, spliced according to the stepped stacking process to reduce the magnetic circuit air gap and enhance the magnetic permeability;
    4. magnetic flux path: the magnetic flux is closed along the vertical direction of the core column and the horizontal direction of the yoke, the path is short and evenly distributed, which effectively reduces the magnetic loss.

    Production process

    From the selection of raw materials to the delivery of finished products, through 6 core processes, each step is equipped with professional equipment and quality control testing to ensure that the quality of the core meets the standards:

    1. silicon steel sheet selection: select high-grade oriented silicon steel sheet, test the magnetic properties, thickness and surface insulation of the material, and eliminate unqualified raw materials;
    2. Precision Slitting: Adopt CNC slitting machine to cut silicon steel sheet accurately according to the design size, and control the size tolerance within ±0.05mm;
    3. Stacked sheet unloading: step unloading of silicon steel sheet is completed by CNC punching and shearing machine to ensure the fit of stacked sheet splicing;
    4. core stacking: using ladder stacking process manual + mechanical coordination stacking, strict control of stacking coefficient, to ensure that the core tightness;
    5. annealing treatment: the stacked iron core is vacuum annealed to eliminate processing stress and restore the magnetic properties of silicon steel sheet;
    6. Comprehensive quality inspection: conduct loss test, size test, insulation test, and appearance test on the iron core, and the whole item will meet the standard before leaving the factory.
